Literature Text

Never saw it coming,
Didn't think that you would go.
I guess I thought you loved me.
But you left me here alone.

I'm so tired of trying,
why, When everyone goes.
Even you have left me crying,
Now I've never felt so low.

So many words unsaid,
My actions so misleading.
But when I said I wanted death,
Didn't think you'd leave me bleeding.

Drowning in my agony,
Giving up my every dream.
Without you life is cold reality,
Drowned so I can't even scream.

Once again I'm falling.
From heights I'd never seen.
You gave me a higher calling,
Then dropped me lower then I've ever been.

I thought we had a future,
I thought that you would fight.
Instead you took my future,
And with you went my life.

Last night I dreamt of you,
Your face your laugh your voice.
When I woke I reached for you,
And remembered you are gone.

Every night I do this.
Awash in pain each morn.
Wishing to retrace the days,
to when our love was born.

Ask yourself, "Why do I want to be with someone that doesn't want to be with me?" I hope it helps! Feel free to join the group on the invite I send you! Maybe you'd like to post your poems there, too! :)
